unit three
2. Dark romantic because they believe that people do have evil ways. i agree cause all people aint pure. i have did alot of bad stuff in my life. I have thought about doing crazy stuff but i stopped my self from doing it.this expalins why im closer to dark romantic cause people have the ablity to do bad things.
3)The Dark Romantic disagreed with the with the transcendantalists because believed that people was all good. but the dark romantic bleieved that people have bad in them . the transcendantalists thought by locking there self away from evil they life would be good and pure. but the dark romantic say that evil in always inside of us aint no losing evil or bad things it on the inside.
I like the story The Masque of The Red Death. the story is a bout kingdom that the people caught a diease that they called the Red Death. the Red death was when people be sick and they bleed out every pore in there body. so the prince got all the healthy people and locked them in the castle so they was not gone get sick. so the prince had partys for the people. so one party it was a costume party and a person appeared at the party that nobody know. the person look like a person who had the red death and walk out of a grave. so the prince told the people to get him and un mask him but the people was scared to touch hm. so the prince went after him hisself but the prince just died. and the guards go to the person and unmasked him and........ there was nobody in the mask it was a ghost.
5.) THE RAVEN.......
The poem was about a man who is trying to get out his dead girlfriend. in the story the man was bout to go to sleep and he heard tapping at his door. he was scared to open the door at first and it was 12'o clock too. so when he opened the door it was nobody there. so he yelled his girlfriend name down the hall and it echoed back which scared him even more. then it came a tapping at his window so he went it open it and a raven flow in his room and stood on his bust on top of his chamber door. the man was kinda scared of the raven and so the man asked the bird what his name was and the bird said Nevermore.the man started asking the bird questions about his dead girlfriend. the man asked the bird was he ever gone seen his girlfriend again and touch her. the bird said "Nevermore". the man got mad at the bird and he told the bird to leave and get out of his house. the bird once again said " Nevermore". the Bird took the man soul.
The poem is anti-Transcendental because the poem said the man was gone be sad forever, but the transcendental would have said go in nature and let god talk to you thur your soul. The dark romantic says people can be evil and sad not always happy like the transcendental. transcendental think that you can get away from evil and trouble by isolating your self to be alone.
6) Symbol's
The Raven Was a symbol of Death and saddness. it was a symbol of sadness cause the bird can at 12'o clock and was talking to a man who lost his girlfriend. ever time the man ask him bout his girlfriend he kept saying nevermore. the bird was also a symbol cause the bird took the man soul at the end of the poem. the bird also told him that he was not leaving the man so that means tha man was gone die sad.
7)standards
I am using all my standard. i use my first unit to find evidence in the poem raven to answer question 5. i used my unit two cause i took my time to read and take in the words of the author.i used the third unit to know the historic background..
REALISM
8)
A.. She was young, with a fair, calm face, whose lines bespoke repression and even a certain strength. But now there was a dull stare in her eyes, whose gaze was fixed away off yonder on one of those patches of blue sky. It was not a glance of reflection, but rather indicated a suspension of intelligent thought.
B.. she want us to know that husband used to abuse their wives. like the husband control everything they did. the wives could not live their lives.
9)
A.. About three o'clock of that day, I broke down; my strength failed me; i was seized with a violent aching of the head, attended with extreme dizziness;
B.. in the story The Battle with Mr.Covery. It's social issue is that he was a slave, and the slave owners did not let the slaves live his life!!. he used to get beat by the slave..
10)
Now it's them dead bodies, them lost houses, the mayor say don't worry 'bout it And the children have been scarred, no one's here to care 'bout 'em. this shows how people lived after Katrina. This is an example because this was not fake this was all real stuff. this has details and the social issues is how to live after Katrina.
11)

ELAALRL1- i used this standard when i did my work on the raven cause i used evidence to figure out how its and anit-Transcendal
ELAALRL2 - i had to identify the parts in the lil wayne rap to find sum realism.

A sport is an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, such as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, and basketball. There many other activities that people don’t consider a sport like the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). UFC is kind of a new sport hitting the streets. MMA is Martial arts in a ring no hold bars. MMA is kind of like street fighting anything goes. its is very entertaining, and very fun to watch.
UFC Started in 1993, the brand is a professional mixed martial arts organization offering the premier series of MMA sports events. The UFC organization follows a rich history and tradition of competitive MMA dating back to the Olympic Games in Athens. About 80 years ago, a Brazilian form of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) known as Vale Tudo (anything goes) sparked local interest in the sport. Then UFC brought MMA to America. The Goal was to find the Ultimate Fighting Champion with a concept to have a tournament of the best athletes skilled in various disciplines in martial arts including karate, jiu-jitsu, boxing, kickboxing, grappling, wrestling, sumo and other combat sports.
To be in the UFC you must be physical and mental stable. You must train for years to become a great fighter. Athletes will need to be in shape. The athlete would have to endure the pain of the sport. The Athlete must become fit to be able to endure punches, kicks, knees, and to be able to with stand having your arms and legs twisted. You must be strong to not give up when you losing. You must toughing it out, because if you aren’t mentally stable you going to get knocked out. The athlete who is hyped and endured for the fight is most likely to win.
Sports should be competitive, like the UFC. How can you get more competitive than hand to hand fighting? You try your best to knock your opponent out or down, and people say that UFC isn’t a sport. On the other hand people consider golf and bowling sports and you never touch your opponent.
Compare kick boxing and the UFC together. They consider kickboxing a sport why not UFC. They are about the same sport. They have Kicking, boxing, and submissions. They are similar in many ways. Not like traditional boxing you can kick and but your opponent into a submission. They are also different in lots of ways. UFC has a octagon Ring while kickboxing has and square ring like boxing, and in the UFC you can kick below the waist not in kickboxing. So they both have the same mentally is to knock your opponent out. So I think UFC should be considered as a sport like Boxing and Kickboxing.
To the people who say UFC isn’t a real sport their crazy. UFC is just like boxing. They say boxing a sport why not UFC. Like in boxing they punch and get punched. UFC is and upgrade on the traditional boxing. So I think they should consider it a sport just like boxing and all the other sports.

Writing 1
Since I was a little kid I loved sports. As a child growing up I played lots of sports. I played soccer, football, and basketball. I really did not like soccer. It was too much running for me. I loved football and basket ball. They were the most fun sports ever. I played little league football for my uncle Gene. I played for the local little league team called the East Athens Dolphins. I played football for the Dolphins for four years. I liked football until I started basketball. Basketball just took over my life.
I have been playing Basketball for around 11 years. I think basketball is much better than football because I can play by myself, and I really could not play football by myself. It is more difficult to get better in football because you must practice many skills with the rest of your team. In football you can’t get better by yourself, but you can practice basketball by yourself. I remember that when I played football it was hard to remember the plays. I played wide receiver, but it was sometimes confusing. Sometimes I would do the wrong routes. If I ran the wrong route I would mess up the whole play
Basketball is easy to learn, because all someone has to do is to learn how to dribble and shoot the ball into the goal. Football is hard to learn, because players have to know all the plays, and learn how to do certain things. A person must learn how to block right so the officials won’t call holding. Football players must practice blocking, catching, throwing, and running. In Basketball all the players must work on is dribbling, passing, and shooting. When I first started playing basketball, I did not have to go find friends to practice with like when I played football. I just went to the basketball court and practice on my basketball skills. I could learn from my mistakes when practicing by myself. When I’m working on my free throws, for example, I just go out there and shoot. Practicing football requires more people, because practicing by yourself is a big waste of time, and people who try will never get better doing that. That’s why I chose to play basketball, and plus it’s good to my pockets.
Basketball is cheaper than football. Football players must buy a helmet which costs between 30 and 60 dollars, and they must have pads that cost a good 20 to 30 dollars. They also must have cleats that cost 45 dollars and up. Basketball requires only shoes and a ball. Then you can play basketball any time during the year, indoors or outdoors. When it come to football, it’s more comfortable to play in warmer weather.
These are some of the reasons why I like basketball over football. Basketball is just less of a hassle than football. I save money and I play by yourself. Plus I can play anytime of the year, no matter raining or snowing, I can just find a gym to go to. For a parent who wants to put their children in sports, I suggest basketball. Basketball is a great sport for kids to play while they’re young. I bet they fall in love with the sport like I did.

unit 2
my words:
The student should identifies the theme and analyzes whats going on and whats happening in the story and the student should apply the knowledge of knowing what the author is say without him saying it directly.
2.
in the story rip van winkle i found two examples of romanticism. one is that he feel asleep for 20 years. its kind of crazy to sleep for 20years with out waking up.to rip van wrinkle is that he was only sleep for one night but it was 20years. "Rip’s story was soon told, for the whole twenty long years had been lost to him but only one night". This is and example of (Logic to imagination theme). Every change of season, every change of weather, indeed every hour of the day,
produces some change in the magical hues and shapes of these mountains. ( Nature )
3.
imagination- "All that tread the globe are but a handful to the tribes that slumber in its bosom." this is an example because how can a handful of tribes sleep in the earths bosom. you need to use your imagination to think about how many people have died compare to the people alived.it
Nature- "Nature holds communion with her visible forms, she speaks she has a voice of gladness, and a smile and eloquence of beauty." it is making nature look good and peaceful
common people- its say when you die the same thing gone happen to you that will happen to a king ain't nothing gone be different. when you die you are going to decompose and be come soil like everybody Else."Thou shalt lie down , With patriarchs of the infant world--with kings The powerful of the earth--the wise, the good, Fair forms, and hoary seers of ages past, All in one mighty sepulchre."
4.
my words
ELAALRL1-I think this standard is good to know because it is helpful to know what you looking for while read if you just reading the words and not taking in the what it say its a waste of time. When knowing the evidence will help you out alot because you know what u looking for.
i used this standard because i had to find evidence in the poem. to look for the themes.ELAALRL3-this standard explains what you should do when reading a book form a different time period, and how to compare them to now. When reading a book form the old days it great to think about the old time like how they lived and what they did compared to now.
they talked about how life was in rip van winkle life
" NATURE "
5. this story i agree with him, because nature is a nice place to just sit and think. he said nature was a great place to be when you need to get in touch with your inner self, but nature can be bad sometime. it reminds me of my grandma's house in Greene county. when I'm down there i be stress free I don't have to worry bout nothing. her house is in a little city called union point. the city is so claim. like at night i don't hear cars and people yelling, all i hear is bugs and silence. i love being down there. sitting outside just watching time go by is relaxing, but when it rain nature can be boring. i hate being down there when it rains. in the story this stuck out to me " Nature is not always tricked in holiday attire"
6.this is a good piece of transcedentalism, because they Believe god talked to them thur their minds. in this story he feels he is a part of God, beacuse he left society to be alone and think about nature, himself, and God. for example he says " I am part or parcel of God".
Self -Reliance
5.
This story is about a ma telling people to speak their minds. he also told people not to be influence by other do what your mind tell you to do. he said speak your mind. i always speak my mind no matter what if you like it or not, cause if you speak your mind people won't really know how you feel. like a couple years ago me and my friends was hanging together, and one of them wanted to smoke so the others thought it was cool so they was gone smoke too, but i said hell no im not gone smoke with ya'll. yall stupid cause yall gone get hooked. now they all smoke.
6.these is a good example of transcedentalism, beacuse in the story he said be yourself cause if you listen to your mind you are listening to god."A men is relieved and gay when he has put his heart into his work and done best." he is saying you should listen to your heart cause its what would make you happy.
7.
" society everywhere is in conspiracy against the manhood of every one of its members." in the movie Dick left society to get in touch with his interself. he went in to the wild to get his mind back on track with god. he dont want the society to mess up his mind, and he wants to be his own person. for example he built a house cause he thought about staying in the wild. he agrees with the statement cause he left society to depend on his self.

Unit One: Early American Literature.. the declaration of independence
this standard explains what you should do when reading a book form a different time period, and how to compare them to now. whn reading a book form the old days it great to think about the old time like how they lived and what they did compared to now.
Native American
Oh our Mother the earth, Oh our Father the sky,Your children are we, and with tired backsWe bring you the gifts you love.Then weave for us a garment of brightness;
May the Warp be the white light of the morning,May the weft be the red light of the evening,May the fringes be the falling rain,May the border be the standing rainbow.
Thus weave for us a garment of brightness,That we may walk fittingly where birds sing,That we may walk fittingly where grass is green,Oh our Mother Earth, Oh our Father Sky.
This example tell what the natvie american used pray to and how they prayed. They used to pray to they earth and sky everyday. They used to pray for more sunlight and rain.
4. the different these two cultures are the way they worship god. The natives believe in god as the father of the sky. he is always happpy and he love his people by giving them gifts. on example from the poem is " That we may walk fittingly where grass is green".But the purtains believe that god was angry and he wanted to send people to hell. for example " god wrath towards you burn like fire".
5. Purtain- are people who believed that if you was a sinner you was going to hell.
the declaration of independence-showing independence
God's hands- is the only thing holding me up from falling to hell
age of reason- a place in time where people was finding the reasons for things
oringal sin-
6. The purtains believed that god was in control of everything. They believed god was the reason they did not fall to hell today. on the other hand the rationast believe that god was not the cause of everything. thats why they had the age of reasons to find the reasons for everything.
7. Ben Franklin improved his life like a rationalist. He did not ask god to help him with his life he did it his self. he took data and he mad a list of stuff to improve his life. " i made a lil book , in which i allotted a page for each of the virtues."
8. 1.money. you always need money no matter what it makes the world go round
2.family. you need family for them hard times
3.love. you got to love yourself
4.happy. never have a sad day cause you never know if that will be your last
5.basketball. thats my gateway to being happy
6.future. forget the past its no way to change but you can change your future
7.foucs. never let no one knock you off track stay foucs
8.patience.things will come just wait
9.trouble. stay out of trouble
10.motavation: always stay motovated
11. shoes. got to have the latest nikes
12.food. cant live without it
13. Home. need some where to live
9.in this unit i used a couple of the standards, like for evidence you can see i had to look into the sinners in the hand of god to find what they believed in. i also had to compare the autobiography to the purtains to show the differents.

Ga Performance Standards
My Words
I think this standard is good to know because it is helpful to know what you looking for while read if you just reading the words and not taking in the what it say its a waste of time. When knowing the evidence will help you out alot because you know what u looking for.
